Reseve bank of India has today on 19.05.2023 Friday announced to withdraw Rs. 2000 notes from circulation and said that all Rs.2000 currency notes must be exchanged before September 30, 2023.
These Rs. 2000 note can be withdrawn by 30 September 2023.

The Reserve Bank of India has announced the withdrawal of ₹2,000 banknotes from circulation. Individuals are advised to exchange or deposit these notes by September 30, 2023.
The central bank’s decision is part of its “Clean Note Policy.” Although the ₹2,000 banknotes will remain legal tender, all banks will offer deposit and exchange services for these notes until the given deadline, ensuring sufficient time for the public to complete the process.
